About Us

Halton Region Basketball Inc. (HRBA) is a non-profit organization founded in Milton, Ontario by a group of responsible individuals who are committed to give their time and effort to bring together basketball enthusiasts in an atmosphere of friendly competition particularly in Halton Region comprising the City of Oakville, Town of Milton, City of Burlington, Town of Halton Hills and nearby cities and towns.

It was created for the purpose of recognizing the potentials and capabilities of the kids, the youth and seniors as well in the field of basketball. Likewise, it promises to bring a lot of fun and developing at the same time the importance of self discipline and proper attitude towards future challenges, teamwork and sportsmanship on one's life as being displayed and exercised in the sports of basketball. All participants will have an opportunity to be a part of various events in programs and activities geared towards growth and advancement.

  1. Interactions

    Excellent and strong relationship among all members, the parents, the kids and the community as a whole will be the focal point and foundation of our success. We are committed to provide teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship, recognizing common goals and celebrating the hard work and accomplishments of each individual and as a team. We fully encourage the use of people's potentials, skills and capabilities to support growth and stability.

  2. Recreation & Youth Development

    One of the very essences of life is how we balance our daily activities. HRBA is committed to provide sports and leisure that will create and provide energy, good health and relaxation as we continue to face different challenges in life. We will adhere to our goal of developing and enhancing our youth's skills and fullest potentials to prepare them in their future endeavors and undertakings. We will continue to strive to provide a satisfying balance between works, recreation and home life.

  3. Community Services and Contributions

    What could be more meaningful and worth doing than giving back and sharing our achievements by supporting community programs through voluntary support. Programs will be created and formulated with the main objective of helping the less fortunate, the sick and the needy.

PRESIDENT and CEO

Wil is the Head of the entire organization; He make sure the organization moves toward the right direction in accordance with its mission statement; Consistently create a healthy environment among members of the organization, thus making the company more productive and efficient; He guides and lead the group to come up with a final decision on matters concerning the organization, its members and other relevant issues; Take precedence in the formulation of future plans and programs that could benefit the youth and the society as a whole; Wil is directly responsible for the smooth ,orderly and organized execution of the organization's current and future programs.

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT

Ariel consistently provide assistance to the President in all aspect towards the achievement of the organization’s goals, objective and Mission Statement; He checks and balance any plans, issues that may arise affecting the organizations undertakings. Assist members of the Executive team in the coordination and communication to consistently maintain smooth operation thus achieving successful programs. Assist any members of the Executive Board assigned to a specific task for proper implementation and help achieved its goals. He is the key person responsible for the maintenance of an updated website. He Prepares and documents the flow of work throughout the current programs.

CORPORATE SECRETARY

Maintain regularly an updated records and files and assist in the safekeeping of the organizations important documents. Takes minutes of all executive meetings. Create and prepares official letters and correspondents as required. He also prepares and present final minutes of every meeting for review and approval of the executive board prior to discussion.

FINANCIAL COORDINATOR

Laurence leads the analysis of results of operations and financial reporting to the entire organization. He regularly maintain an updated record of the organization's operating expenses. Participate in the development of annual operating and capital budgets including interim forecasting. Manage inventory costing systems. Prepares and regularly update HRBA's Financial Book.

CORPORATE TREASURER

Isagani works hand in hand with the Financial Coordinator in all matters relating to the organization's day to day financial activities.. He is responsible for the creation and completion of daily deposits. Accept payments from participating team and see to it that corresponding transactions are properly documented; Regularly maintain an updated records of the organizations Account Payables and Receivables; See to it that all cheques for deposits are well documented, complete with required information prior to disbursement.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS - Southwest

Benny and Rey are directly responsible for all aspect of programs throughout the organization; Drives HRBA’s innovations in basketball skills and youth development; They work constantly with the Team Owners and Coaches in the NORTHEASTERN and SOUTHWESTERN cities and towns to implement best practices and to ensure the whole organization is effectively utilizing its developmental capabilities to fulfill HRBA’s youth programs in the community; Responsible for the allocation of work and resources in order to be most efficient and effective in the achievement of the organizations programs in sports and youth development particularly basketball in the entire region of HALTON; Works hand in hand with the Logistics Coordinators; Responsible for the proper scheduling of games assuring equal and fair participation; See to it that all games and programs are being implemented in accordance with the rules and regulations set by HRBA Inc. Strictly check and verify all personal information of each participating players are in accordance with the requirements / qualifications to ensure honest and fair competition; They regularly coordinate with game officials for availability and proper scheduling; Benny and Rey constantly coordinate with participating team owners and representatives to maintain proper direction and control on current and future programs.

LOGISTICS COORDINATORS

Julio and Robert are responsible for all aspect of purchasing, inventory and logistics within the organization for maintenance and supplies required to existing and future programs; Monitor and maintain availability at all times of all game equipments such as scoreboards, timers, balls, sound system, etc. They are directly responsible for the maintenance of gym facilities including cafeteria; see to it that all floors and surrounding areas including hallways are clean and ready for use by the students and faculty on the next school day. Julio and Robert carryout analysis, negotiating, purchasing and expediting cost of assigned equipments, uniforms, products and other items required in the program; Conducts regular inventory of the organization's supplies and equipments. Maintain an updated record of all the organization's equipments.
