About Us

HRBA HALTON REGION BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION INC. was founded primarily to promote Healthy, Active Living and Sportsmanship. We are a not-for-profit sports organization registered under the Ontario Ministry of Government Services. The Board is the main governing and policy making body mainly responsible in setting new standard of accountability, good governance and transparency by administering leadership with integrity, vision and direction. It is composed of civic minded, dedicated and competent volunteer officers with keen interest on youth development and to bring together basketball enthusiasts in an atmosphere of friendly competition. It was incorporated on December 29, 2010.

HRBA is based in the town of Milton located in the heart of Halton Region. It was conceptualized by Ariel Robles, Vince Fermo and Wilbert Angquiangco on October 03, 2010. and was formally organized by the first five founding directors that included Reynaldo Badua and Isagani Gamil on November 21, 2010.

We are committed to preserve HRBA’s Mission, Vision and Values which represent the very core foundation of the organization’s existence. These are as follow:

It was created for the purpose of developing hidden talents, recognizing the potentials and capabilities of the kids, the youth and seniors as well in the field of basketball. Likewise, it promises a lot of fun and instilling at the same time the importance of self-discipline and proper attitude towards future challenges, teamwork and sportsmanship on one’s life. All participants will have an opportunity to be a part of various events and programs envisioned towards growth and advancement. Various activities designed and carefully analyzed to embody HRBA’s ideals and principles will be offered and put into practice.

We organized co-ed basketball tournaments, leagues, seasonal basketball clinics and other sports recreational programs geared towards youth development and diversity in HALTON REGION, comprising the City of Oakville, Town of Milton, City of Burlington, Town of Halton Hills and nearby cities. We rely on the continued generosity and unwavering support of service oriented sponsors in financing our programs.

We are a diverse community of learners and leaders who recognized the potential of others and strive for excellence in sports and recreation.

HRBA Inc. was conceptualized with three vital ideals and principles which will guide this organization as it sails toward the achievement of its Vision and Mission Statement.

Excellent and strong relationship among all members, the parents, the kids and the community as a whole will be the focal point and foundation of our success. We are committed to provide teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship, recognizing common goals and celebrating the hard work and accomplishments of each individual and as a team. We fully encourage the use of people's potentials, skills and capabilities to support growth and stability.

Recreation and Youth Development

One of the very essences of life is how we balance our daily activities. HRBA is committed to provide sports and leisure that will create and provide energy, good health and relaxation as we continue to face different challenges in life. We will adhere to our goal of developing and enhancing our youth's skills and fullest potentials to prepare them in their future endeavors and undertakings. We will continue to strive to provide a satisfying balance between works, recreation and home life.

Community Services and Contributions

What could be more meaningful and worth doing than giving back and sharing our achievements by supporting community programs through voluntary support. Programs will be created and formulated with the main objective of helping the less fortunate, the sick and the needy.
